Our history

In 2014, a young couple becomes parents. Around them, more and more friends are starting families too. They want to offer something special, something beautiful and unique. They are looking for baby gifts that reflect their sense of aesthetics and ethics. If they had the time, they would create something themselves for their children and the children of their friends. After all, didn’t our grandmothers knit cardigans and blankets for newborns, and didn’t our grandfathers carve small toys for our little ones?

This young father, supported by his wife, who had recently become a mother, launches and creates what would officially become Petite Année in 2015: a boutique, a universe dedicated to childhood. A calm, gentle and pure space, a little like Switzerland itself, where gift sets are prepared with love and care for our little angels. Its cradle: Chavornay (formerly Orbe) in the canton of Vaud. It all begins with this dreamy father. He works alone in a very small space in his own home.

It is with this spirit in mind that we create beautiful baby gift sets. Beyond that, we also want to create gifts for the first and most magical years of our children’s lives. It is with this vision that Love Kids was born.
